Day 89: 2/4/19 - A Day: Analyzing the Main Character & Ch. 4 of Harry Potter

Good day 6th Graders,      
       Today we will continue unit 3, Critical Analysis & Evaluation of Fictional Texts. We will continue reading Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets.

Do Now: 
1. Find your Hogwarts House Table and have a seat
2. Write your homework down in your agenda
3. Pick up a characterization graphic organizer
4. Pick up a Book Order
Homework:
  • Finish any reading from ch 4
  • Complete the Entering the Unknown Graphic Organizer

Agenda

  3. Read Ch. 4 & Complete the Graphic Organizer for Entering the Unknown

Activity #1

House Discussion

Each house must come up for a bullet to put in each section of the VENN Diagram comparing The Dursley's and The Weasley's.
Questions to think about:
-What type of things do the two settings have in common?
-What feelings does Harry have in the two settings?
-How are these two settings different?

In your interactive notebook we will be completing a graphic organizer regarding the character Harry Potter. Please get out your interactive notebook and flip to the next clean page.
