This week we will continue unit 3, Critical Analysis & Evaluation of Fictional Texts by reading chapters 7 - 9 of Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. We will also take a Mid-Book assessment today.

Part 1 - Vocabulary - 1 point each
Part 2 - Multiple Choice Comprehension - 1 point each
Part 3 - Short Answer (4 Points each: 3 pt for a specific answer using proper nouns and words from the question. 1 Pt for your mechanics, and conventions)
Part 4 - Written Response (10 Points: 2 point for naming the setting, 4 points for describing the setting using specific details, 3 points for describing how the setting makes Harry feel, 1 Point for Mechanics, and conventions)

Goal: To read fictional texts for enjoyment and discuss them with a group of our peers in order to improve our comprehension .
