Day #137 - 4/29/15 - Mod 2a Unit 3 Lesson 3: Poetry Reading Day

Good Morning Rebels, 
          Today is a C day so we will go to library. It is also the day of our Poetry Reading. Make sure you have your 2 - 3 poems that you want to read. We will start the poetry reading around 9:45 and it should take about an hour. Please work on the point to ponder quietly this morning.

P2P: Pick up a trivia card and take turns asking and answering questions with your table mates.


Activity #1
Presenting Poetry
I can read my poetry in front of an audience using a loud, clear presentation voice.


Activity #2
Independent Reading
I can read a book at my independent reading level and record information about the novel.


When you are done typing all four of your poems you are to work on Independent Reading. 
Directions:
Read for 15 - 20 minutes without interruption. Then complete your reading log activities.

Day #136 - 4/28/15 - Mod 2a Unit 3 Lesson2: Final Publication of Poems


Good Morning Rebels, 
          Today is a ‘B’ day so we will go to Gym. It is also our last day to prepare for our poetry reading on Wednesday. We will be sharing our poems about rules to survive the great depression to get feedback from our peers, and then we will be typing them for final publication. YOU MUST GET ALL YOUR POEMS TYPED AND PRINTED TODAY!!! Remember to order your lunch, sharpen your pencils, and then work on the Point to Ponder.

Day #135 - 4/27/15 - Mod 2a Unit 3 Lesson 1: Rules to survive the great depression poem

          I hope you all had a good weekend. Today is an ‘A’ day so we will go to Music. Today we will also do make ups for anyone who missed a day of testing. We will continue to prepare for our poetry reading on Wednesday by sharing poems and going to the computer lab to type final copies. Remember to order your lunch, sharpen your pencils, and then work on the Point to Ponder.

Day #134 - 4/24/15 - Mod 2a Unit 2 Lesson 19: Poetry - Using simile and metaphor

          I hope you all got a good night's sleep. Today is the last day of the Common Core Math test. We will be taking the test this morning and having a special afternoon with a movie and a treat
          Remember to do your best on the test! Today is also an ‘E’ day so we will go to Art. Remember to order your lunch and then work on the Point to Ponder.
