Day 100: 2/28/19 - D Day: Aligning Harry Potter w/the Hero's Journey & Harry Potter Ch 12

Good day 6th Graders,      
     Today we will continue unit 3, Critical Analysis & Evaluation of Fictional Texts by reading chapters 12 of Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. We will also watch part 2 of the movie on Friday.

Homework:
  • Read chapter 12
  • Use a Note Taking Strategy of your choice to record important plot events from chapter 12

Standards:

RL6.3 - Describe how a particular story's plot unfolds in a series of events as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution

Directions:
  • Write summaries for any of the chapters you have not yet written summaries for.
  • Include:
    • A topic Sentence
    • Details - focused on the most important events
    • A reflective statement
