Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets

Using the Rubric as a guide to edit and revise your chapter 13 summaries. 
Make sure you have:

  • an Introduction
  • details from both texts
  • evidence from both texts
  • sentences that Weave the two texts together
  • a conclusion


Chapter 14
Pre - Reading
  • Objective = Aligning Two Texts
  • Write an essential question
    • How does _________________ fit the pattern of the hero's journey, and what part of the hero's journey?
  • Use the depth of knowledge stems to write a level 1, 2, & 3 question before reading.
  • Write  notes while reading about main events and big ideas.
  • Focus on events that will help you answer the essential question.

Use the Cornell Notes to record important events, main ideas, or other details you think are important to Harry Potter and the Hero's Journey.
