Analyzing Plot

Standards:

RL6.3 Describe how a story's plot unfolds in a series of events as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution.

SL6.1 Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions with diverse partners on grade 6 topics.

Directions:

Work individually to analyze the important events in each chapter. Write a summary of the most important events in your notebook. STOP at chapter 15.

Key Questions:

• What events from this chapter are most important to include in a summary of the chapter? Why?
• What evidence from the text can you use to prove that Harry is a literary hero?
• What stages of the hero's journey does your information align with?
