Day 156: 5/24/16 - E Day: Research Projects

Good day 6th Graders,      
       Today we will be working on our research projects. Please make sure you have:
  • Red Folder
  • Agenda
  • ELA Notebook

Do Now: 
1. Fill out your Agenda with tonight's Homework
2. Hand in Anthology of Research Covers
3. Pick up a piece of plain white paper or scrap paper and make a sign pertaining to your environmental issue. Include a brief illustration/drawing to go with your sign. Ex Say No to Hydrofracking. Go Green & Recycle, Stop Deforestation, Shut Down all Puppy Mills!
Homework:
  • Finish Ch 14 of HP & the COS & complete your Lit Circle Job (Due Thurs 5/25)

    • Images w/captions
    • Graphics like: Charts, Graphs, & Diagrams
    • Information - Use the paragraphs from your essay
    • Enlarge them and use backing paper to make them stand out.
    • You might want to create a list of bullets to display your information
    • Work on making printed materials for your research project.
      That may include:
      • Headings (large, Bold, Various Fonts)
      • Subheadings (Large, Bold, Various Fonts)
      • Enlarging paragraphs
      • Making bulleted lists
      • Printing picture, images, graphs, & diagrams
