Day #121 - 4/7/15 - Mod 2A Unit 2 Lesson #10: How does Bud use his rules to help him?


Good Morning Rebels, 
           I hope you all had a superb spring break. I wonder what you all did to have fun. I wonder how many of you spent at least 20 minutes reading every day.
          Today is a ‘B’ day so we will go to Gym. Please sharpen you pencils and order your lunch. Don’t forget to work hard, and make the most out of every minutePlease pick up an Ipad and answer today’s poll question. Last, work on the Point to Ponder.

Analyzing Bud’s Rules
How does Bud use his rules to help him?

Key Questions:
  1. What is the difference between stating an opinion and arguing a claim?
  2. In order to write an essay to answer the question, "How does Bud use his rules to help him?” what would you include in your essay?

  • How many paragraphs?
  • What would go in each paragraph

Directions:
  1. Write your quote on the top of your chart paper.
  2. Look for evidence in the novel that shows how Bud uses that rule.
  3. Record the evidence on your chart paper
    1. the evidence should help everyone remember exactly how Bud used the rule
  4. Include an illustration of the scene in which Bud uses the rule.
  5. Consider:
    • Does Bud use the rule immediately?
    • Does he use the rule later in the novel?
    • Does he ever break this rule?
ALL WORK MUST BE DONE NEATLY!!!

6. Finish with a question or something that you wonder.
