Day #61 - 12/8/14 - Unit 2: Lesson 11 Part II

Good Morning 6th Graders,
It is a ‘B’ day so we will go to Physical Education.  Please make sure you have all your materials, including your gym clothes.
Unfortunately, I’m not sure I can make Ipads available for you to use until we get the missing Ipod back. I need to be able to trust you all completely if I am going to put Ipads in your hands.  I sure do hope we get it back today!
                        Mrs. Sargent & Mr. T.
P2P:  What should the person who took the Ipod do to fix their mistake? I will not just forget about the missing Ipod. I care too deeply about creating students who are respectful and responsible!!!

Paul is an example of a classic hero who has just been on the Hero’ Journey.
Paul goes through the call to adventure when his school experiences a sinkhole and he becomes part of the rescue brigade pulling students out of the disaster area. Later in act 1 Paul enters the unknown when he is forced to switch schools from Lake Windsor Downs to Tangerine Middle. He goes from the world of his rich suburban neighborhood of Lake Windsor Downs to the rough tough area of Tangerine.
While at his new school and while with his new friends, Paul overcomes many obstacles on his road of trials. He plays in numerous soccer games and remains undefeated, and he fights the freeze in the grove and helps save the Golden Dawn Tangerines. Paul faces his supreme ordeal when he plays in the championship game and wins the league title. In addition, Paul confronts his father about his mysterious eye injury and ultimately becomes the master of two worlds the night he jumps on Coach Warners back. Paul ends up being famous in Tangerine for this action, and at the same time he has to address his past with his family.
