Point to Ponder: How did the reading strategy of clarrifying/summarizing to help you? Share your Homework Reading Logs with the people at your table group. Have one person write a question or comment about your entry.

Learning Stations

#1 Guided Reading (We do)
Using Cornell Notes to align the main character from your guided reading book with the hero's journey.
  • Write an essential question
  • Use the depth of knowledge stems to write a level 1, 2, & 3 question about today's reading.
  • What events in today's reading align with the hero's journey, and which part of the hero's journey?
    #2 Independent Reading (You do)
    • Read: Finish reading the assigned pages 
    • Build Vocabulary: Add words from your Guided Reading book to your list of vocabulary words
    • Finish the Cornell notes ans before you begin Your Postcard
    #3 Word Work (You do)
    • Work on the Neolithic/Paleolithic Postcard project
    #4 Work on Writing (You do)
    • Finish your Neolithic/Paleolithic postcard
    • If you finish please work on a frayer model poster.
    #5 Computer - Open Ed
    You will need to bring your agenda with you to computers so you can log in to your open ed account.

    • Step 1: Under the LINKS tab, click on the open ed link.
    • Step 2: Choose one of the activities to try or one of the videos to watch.
    • Step 3: Be sure you complete each assignment to the best of your ability.
    Homework: Read for 20 minutes. Complete the reading log for visualizing.
