Good Morning Sixth Graders,

                                     Thank you
                                     Mr. Trumble
Point to Ponder:  Use Scotch Tape to hang up your Frayer Model Poster on your locker. Then read quietly at your seat.

Activity #1
Writing: Narratives

Activity #2
Go over Simili's & Metaphor's

  • Simile
A simile uses the words “like” or “as” to compare
one object or idea with another
Example: busy as a bee, You played like a beast.

  • Metaphor

The metaphor states a fact or draws a verbal picture by the use
of comparison. A simile would say you are like something;
a metaphor is more positive - it says you are something.
Example: You are a beast.
