  • Setting
  • Characters
  • Conflicts (Internal & External)
  • Plot (Insert, Omit, or Change)
    • Exposition
    • Inciting Incident
    • Rising Action
    • Climax

Your poster can be designed however you would like. Your goal is to create a visual aid that will allow you to share the similarities and differences with the whole class.

You might want to do a:
  • Web
  • T-Chart
  • Venn Diagram
  • Sketches or Drawings

Step 1
Communicate - Share information about the similarities and differences. Discuss the most important similarities and differences you want to include. Remember to try and include something from each category: Setting, Characters, Conflict, & Plot.

Step 2
Critically Think - Decide what information is going to go on your poster, and what each member of your group is going to do to contribute. (You might want to plan out your poster on loose leaf)

Step 3
Collaborate & Create - Work together to  finish your poster. Make sure everyone knows what the final poster is supposed to look like, and that everyone knows what role they will play to complete the poster. Use pencils, colored pencils, and markers to create your poster.

Step 4
Present You can pick one spokesperson, or you may have several presenters. It is your job to share the similarities and differences that your group discussed with the rest of the class. It will also be your job to answer questions from the audience.

Teachers will score you using the 4 point scale.
4 - Exceeded the Expectations
3 - Met the expectations
2 - Partly met the expectations
1 - Did Not meet the expectations

Tips:
  • Write big and large (Fill the space)
  • Write in dark bold colors
  • Color or draw in lighter colors
  • Make sure each similarity or difference is connected to one of the literary elements

***Be mindful of the time!!!! You will have until about 10:35 to work on your poster. We will use the last 20 minutes of class to share.
