        Today we will begin drafting our research essays.

2. Write down your homework

Homework:

• Finish drafting the Solution & Conclusion
• Bring in materials for Learning Fair Project
• Tri-fold board
• Decorative tape
• Boxes
• Craft Sticks
• Etc.

The Solution & The Conclusion

Standards:
RI6.7 - Integrate information presented in different media or formats to develop a coherent understanding of a topic or issue.

RI6.8 - Trace & Evaluate the argument and specific claims in a text, distinguishing claims that are supported by evidence from claims that are not.
W6.2 - Write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content

Your Task - (You Do)

• Use the outline to help you draft the last two paragraphs of your research essay.
• Use lined paper to draft, and be sure to include a proper heading at the top of your paper. (**Pass out lined paper)
• You may skip lines if you want, but you don't have to
• Don't forget to include linking words and phrases. (**Pass out linking words & phrases worksheet)
• Be sure to include your sources

*If you happen to finish writing the first two paragraphs of your essay you may go back and review what you have written.
