- use context clues to determine the meaning of unknown words so we can better understand a piece of literature.
- record unknown words in our word catcher as we read aloud Chapter 8 so that we can build vocabulary, and determine if our predictions using context clues are correct.
- visualize a scene from chapter 8 so that we can better understand Bud's situation as the plot evolves.
