          Today we will review chapter 11 and read chapter 12 of Bud, Not Buddy.

• Take out your homework
• Write your homework in your agenda
• Pick up a copy of the course of action graphic organizer

Homework:

• Read Chapter 12
• Complete the course of action graphic organizer. Include 2-3 questions
• Work on Enrichment Project (Due 1/27)

Review Ch 11 Graphic Organizer

Small Group Discussion Directions

1. Discuss the plot events from chapter 11 (T-Chart)
2. Discuss the 3 families that Bud has encountered so far in the story, including how they are alike and how they are different.
3. Share your questions, discuss your answers, and choose the best ones.

Activity #2

Read-a-loud Chapter 12 - Course of Action

Standards:

RL6.2 'Provide a summary of a text distinct from personal opinions'

RL6.3 'Describe how a particular story's plot unfolds in a series of events'

Directions:

• As we read I want you to underline any new, challenging, or unfamiliar words. 
• On the back of your graphic organizer write as many level 2 & 3 questions as you can.

Essential Questions for Chapter 12:

What course of action would you take if you were Bud?

Directions:

As we read chapter 12 think about what Bud course of action Bud takes in various situations. Then describe what course of action you would have taken if you were him.
