Day #56 - 11/25/14 - Twas the Day Before Thanksgiving Break...

Good Morning 6th Graders,

       If you read the message carefully you will receive an easy 100% in my grade book for class participation. First, let me remind you that it is an ‘A’ day so we will go to Music. It is also another early dismissal day so our schedule will the same as yesterday. 
      Please be sure that you have all your stuff for Block 1. For your class participation grade you need to write 1 complete sentence telling me what you are thankful for and why on a piece of loose leaf paper. Put your name on it and place it on the music stand when you are done. You must write neatly!!! Last, pick up an Ipad for your triad and work on the Point to Ponder.

Clean out:
1. Your Locker

• remove all loose papers
• straighten up other materials like colored pencils, gym clothes, etc.
• Return pencils to the pencil cup

2. Your ELA Binder

• remove any old book notes
• remove_________________
• remove_________________

3. Your Social Studies Folder

• remove all papers about maps and geography
• keep your notes about early civilizations

Paragraph 1

1. Tell me the title and author

3. Write a brief summary

4. Describe the main character (What type of person is the main character?)

5. Make an Inference about the main character. Use evidence from the text to support your inference. 

Paragraph 3

6. Write a prediction about what you think might happen in the rest of the book.

7. Finish with a question or something that you wonder.
