Today is an ‘E’ day so you will go to Art. Make sure that you have all your materials you will need for Block 1. Then take out your timelines so I can collect them this morning. Last pick up an Ipad for your Triad group and work on the P2P.

What is a glossary?
A glossary is like a short dictionary.
Preview a glossary. (World Textbook)
Directions: Work in your Triad Groups to create a Word Model. You will use your word model to teach the rest of the class about your word.
- Reread the text, using context clues to determine the meaning of words.
- Use a dictionary or thesaurus as a resource to help you if needed
- Use markers to design a word model on chart paper. The model needs to have the following:
- ****On the Front side****
- the word
- a synonym(a word that means the same)
- an antonym(word that is the opposite)
- a symbol (a picture representation)
- a sentence using the word
- ****On the Back side****
- the word
- the definition

When all groups are done we will be going on a Gallery Walk to look at each others work. Each group will need to select a representative, or a Docent, to stay at your word model. The docent will be responsible for presenting the information to the groups.
