Day #47 - 11/7/14 - Unit 2: Lesson 6 Part II

Good Morning 6th Graders,
        Today is a ‘B’ day so you will go to Gym Make sure that you have all your materials you will need for Block 1, including your gym clothes and deodorant.  Last pick up an Ipad for your Triad group and work on the P2P. Let’s make it a wonderful Day. Remember you can achieve anything you set your mind too.

P2P: Pick up a Madlibs from the music stand and work with a partner to complete the story. Then read it to yourselves and be ready to share it with the class.

Unit 2: Lesson 6 Part II




  • I can answer questions about an excerpt of The Lightning Thief using evidence from the text.
  • I can make connections between the myth of Cronus and The Key Elements of Mythology.
  • I can explain how the elements of mythology help me to understand the theme of the myth of Cronus.



Activity #1
What role did the supernatural plays in chapter 14? Discuss as a whole group responses to last night’s homework.

Activity #2
Directions:

  • One person will read one question at a time aloud to the group.
  • Each of you will take a moment to locate evidence in the text to answer the question.
  • Share your answer and evidence.
  • Do you all agree? Why or why not? 
  • Have a discussion about your responses
