Good Day 6th Graders,

          Please make sure you have everything you need and sharpen your pencils. Today we will do go over the theme quiz, and then you will read chapters 19 & 20

Go over Theme Quiz
Directions:
  • Read each passage carefully
  • Think about the topics within each. 
  • Think about what the lesson is. Do not tell me about the characters. Tell me what you learned, and do NOT use the words I learned.
  • Determine what you think the theme is and record your response on the line provided.
  • Remember theme is a complete sentence, and it does not include character's names
  • Theme is NOT one word.
  • This will count as a quiz grade. 
  • 2 points for each valid theme written correctly in a complete sentence.

Activity #2

Partner Read Chapter 19 & 20
Directions:
Complete each section of the graphic organizer
  • Setting - Be sure to describe in detail
  • Characters - Write as much as you can
  • Plot - 8 specific Bullets Minimum
  • Questions - 2 to 3 questions
  • Conflict - Write down any conflicts that you see.
