          Good Morning, I hope you are all having a thuper Thursday. Please use this time to get ready for your day.

Do Now:

1. Check that your homework is done
2. Check to see if you have all your materials
3. Sharpen pencils

ELA:

Good Day 6th Graders,

          Today we will take out test on the literary elements. Any extra time we have will be spent working on your compare & contrast essay.

Do Now:

• Write tonight's homework in your agenda
• Log in to your chromebook and go to our google classroom

Homework:

• Complete the Compare/Contrast Essay (if not done)

Activity #1

Literary Elements Test

Directions:

• You can find the test on our google classroom. This will be your last assignment in Unit 1.
• Read each question and fill in the blank with the correct vocabulary word from the word bank. 
• YOU MUST USE YOUR NOTEBOOK!!! 
• This test is not about you memorizing all of the information from unit 1. It is about your ability to use your resources. 
• EVERY ANSWER IS IN YOUR NOTEBOOK!!!
• All of the words are in the word bank so make sure to spell your answers correctly. Misspelled answers will lose points. 
• You must work independently.
• I expect you to remain quiet and in your seat unless it is an emergency

When you finish:

1. Bring me your copy of Freak the Mighty
2. You may then work on your compare/contrast essay of you are not done yet. 
3. Independently read 
4. When everyone is done Clean out your ELA Folder.
