Day #78 - 1/14/15 - Unit 2: Lesson 18-20 Part II

Good Morning 6th Graders,
      Today is a ‘D’ day, so we will go to Gym. I hope you all make today a wonderful Wednesday. Don’t forget to sharpen your pencils and order your lunch. Last, pick up an Ipad and work on the Point to Ponder.

  • I can us my graphic organizers to draft the two body paragraphs describing  how a theme is communicated in the Cronus myth and in The Lightning Thief, including how mythology is important today.

Final Draft
Create a final draft of your Literary Essay on loose leaf paper. Be sure you include a complete heading and write as neatly as you can.

Paragraph 1
1. Tell me the title and author 
2. Write the Gist
3. Write a brief summary

Paragraph 2
4. Describe the main character (What type of person is the main character?)
5. Make an Inference about the main character. Use evidence from the text to support your inference. 

Paragraph 3
6. Write a prediction about what you think might happen in the rest of the book.
7. Finish with a question or something that you wonder.
