Day 1: 9/8/26 - The First Day of School

 Homeroom:

Welcome back 6th Graders! Each day as you enter the room please read the board and complete the "Do Now". 

Do Now:         
1. Find your seat & enjoy your breakfast.

2. Keep all of your materials at your seat for now. 

3. Pick up a piece of card stock, and start to create a name tent for yourself. See mine for an example. You can use my markers. Write big, bold & neat, and include 3 small pictures that represent you. 

Homework:

• Get All Important papers signed and returned.
• Bring in an Independent reading Book tomorrow

• Fill out individual schedules for our take home folder

4. Lockers & Locker Cards

• Pass out Locker Card
• HOW TO OPEN YOUR LOCKER
• Find your locker & PRACTICE!
• Never lock your Locker card in your locker
• Bring your locker card back into the room and return to your seat

5. Materials & Folders

• Collect tissues and paper.
• Organize materials and put them in locker
• Bring in your Blue folder and pencil pouch

6. Pass out Important Papers

1)      Confidential Health Form

2)      Technology Permission Slip

3)      Student Info Verification Form

4)      All about me - Due Friday 

7. Work on All About Me (Rough Draft) 

• Final Copy is due Monday 9/18
• Final Copy must be completely colored
• Write neatly
• use colored pencils
• Work carefully
• These will be laminated and put on your locker for the entire year so you really want them to look good

8. Town Hall Meeting after lunch 1:13 (Hallway)

9. Pack up and then Outside around 3:00
