          Please make sure you have everything you need. Today we will take the STAR Reading test & you will make sure you have completed all work for chapters 1 - chapter 7 of Freak the Mighty.

• Log in to your Chromebook

Homework:

• Finish any past due assignments
• Chapter 6 & 7 notes and Quizzes are due Fri 9/24

Tips to do your best

• Read carefully
• Reread when needed
• Take your time
• Read ALL answers before choosing one
• Use context clues
• Use process of elimination

**You will be tracking your STAR score all year to see how much growth you are making. We will do the STAR assessment every month.

To get to STAR:

1. Go to www.apwschools.org
2. Click on the 'Staff' tab
3. Scroll down and click on 'STAR Assessments'
4. Click on "I'm a Student"
5. Type in your user name & password
6. Write down your username & password on your log in sheet
7. Click on Take a Reading Test
8. Make sure you select ELA Mr. Trumble
9. ***If your computer asks for the monitor password, it is "admin"

DO NOT RUSH!!! 

When you finish you should work on any past due quizzes, or work on your ELA Notebook. This is the time where you can go back and color code, or high light your notes. YOU MAY NOT use your chromebook except to complete your STAR test or past due quizzes. 

The room should remain silent and you should remain in your seats unless it is an emergency. If you do not finish your STAR test make sure I know, so we can pause your test and have you finish during WIN.
