Activity #1
Using Transitions
A conjunction is a type of transition that joins two small sentences to make longer more complex sentences. AND, BUT, and OR are the most popular, and are used more than any other.
Directions:
- Cut out each page to make the Transitions word booklet.
- I will come around and staple the booklet across the top so that it stays together.
- Then glue the booklet into your notebook
Notes:
Using Transitions
- Transition words help writing to flow from one idea to another
- They can be used in the beginning, middle, or end of sentences
- The type of transition to use depends on the purpose
