• Write the independent work in your agenda
• Pick up a copy of the notes, and a graphic organizer from the black table

Independent work:

• Read for 20 minutes
• Review your Unit 1 notes

Types of Characters

I can analyze characters in a story to determine what type of character they are.

Notes:

Every Story has different types of characters

1. Characters can be either Protagonist, Antagonist, or neither

2. Characters can be either Flat or Round

3. Characters can be either Static or Dynamic

4. Characters can be either Sympathetic or Minor

Directions:

1. Use your notes on page 22 along with your knowledge of the characters in Freak the Mighty to analyze the different types of characters
2. You will be working with random groups today
3. Your goal is to complete the Character Analysis Chart
4. We will do one character together to get you started
