Read: Write Source 2000 Pages 196 - 199.
Step 2:
Select a poetry book from the cart that you can read independently. Use your Cornell Notes Worksheet as you preview some poetry.
Key Questions:
What do you notice?
What do you like about the poems, or poet?
What is your favorite poem?
What are some of the topics?
Do the poems rhyme, or not rhyme?
How do the poems make you feel?
Were there any interesting words or phrases?
What pictures come into your mind?
What creative language does the poet use?
What do you notice about the poems structure?
